Elbrook C&C are celebrating their 25th Anniversary in 2010 and are delighted to be able to announce a series of Special Events to celebrate this notable Anniversary.

Based in Mitcham South London , Elbrook have grown from very modest beginnings in 1985 to be one of the UK’s Elite  “Top 30” Grocery Wholesalers with a Turnover exceeding £100 million. The core of the business – then and now -  revolves around extremely competitive pricing and excellent customer service.

The current Managing Director – Fukhera Khalid – started the business as a 16 year old in 1985 with very few qualifications and the business has built solid foundations and gone from strength to strength ever since.The roots of the business lay in Essex and East London with early depots in Stratford and Barking before the business expanded to Mitcham South London in 1993. Fukhera was runner-up in the prestigious Lloyds TSB Asian Jewel Business Awards in 2003.

Mr Fukhera Khalid is a family man and he and his wife Sajida have 4 teenage children – their second son – Imran – was diagnosed with Autism in 1994. Since then Fukhera has dedicated his life to looking after his family along-side a successful business . He has also become involved with many charities over the years – often in secret and often supporting Autistic Charities in some way. In 2010 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary the Khalid Family will support Autism Anglia in a substantial way with the raising of £25,000 from a series of events over the year.

Elbrook specialize in Beers , Wines, Spirits , Confectionery and Tobacco – has a healthy Retail Club – and prides itself on its excellent relationship with both suppliers and loyal customers.

Elbrook joined the Landmark Wholesale Group in 2005 to enjoy the benefits of Group Membership and this has enabled Elbrook to take advantage of Landmarks National Promotions – e.g Counter Attack & Winners and its Retail expertise through Lifestyle Drinks Direct. This liaison has driven further growth
                                            
Elbrook plan to celebrate their 25th in style with  major Events –  a C&C Fun Day during the World Cup 2010 and a Gala Charity Ball in October – these events will run alongside ad-hoc activity in the C&C.

The Gala Charity Ball in October will be in honour  of a UK based Autistic Charity and will be the centerpiece of the celebrations. The target will be to raise £25,000 for the Charity …£1000 for each year of trading.

The year was  officially launched at a Suppliers & Trade Press Briefing on 18th February  –  held in  Elbrook’s own Banqueting Hall- CHAK 89 -  adjacent to the C&C- it was attended by  Suppliers, Trade Press &  Landmark Personnel.
