Today’s Group is delighted to announce that two new members will be joining the board– Fukera Khalid, Managing Director of Elbrook Cash and Carry Ltd, and Nick Ramsden, Group Managing Director of D B Ramsden Cash and Co. Ltd – following their election at the Annual General Meeting which was held on 5 November 2014.

As Managing Directors of successful member wholesalers, the pair will be welcome additions to the Today’s Group board of directors.

Commenting on their election, Bill Laird said “I am delighted that Fukera and Nick have been elected to the board and I am in no doubt that with their vast experience of the sector, they will both make valuable contributions to our organisation.  The board and I look forward to working with them both”.

The pair were welcomed to the board after the Group officially bid a fond farewell this week to two long standing board directors, Dudley Ramsden of D B Ramsden and Co. Ltd, and Sucha Singh of Thames Cash and Carry Ltd. Both gentlemen have taken the decision to retire from the board of Today’s Wholesale Services Ltd, following many years of dedicated service.

Commenting on the retirement of Dudley and Sucha, Bill Laird, Managing Director of Today’s Group said “Both Dudley and Sucha have made highly valuable contributions to the success of Today’s in very differing ways. Both will be missed by their TWS board colleagues and the wider family of members, although it is unlikely that either will disappear from the wholesale sector in the near future and we look forward to catching up with them at forthcoming TWS events”.
